Chad Somers, Tenor — Dec 2019

Chad Somers has received praise for his "mastery in music and voice" in addition to delivering "moving performances" which are "uniquely personal" and "particularly eloquent" by Phindie and Stage Magazines. On the stage, Chad has enjoyed collaborating with composers for premieres such as the East Coast premiere of Heggie/Scheer’s Out of Darkness (2017)Guettel’s expanded Light in the Piazza (2018)and Revak’s award winning The Black Cat (2014). He appeared with such companies as Opera Saratoga, Poor Richard’s Opera, Philadelphia Opera Collective, and Opera Libera. In the concert hall, Chad recently performed Maxwell Davies’ Eight Songs for a Mad King, with Ensemble ID and worked with Lachenmann on his Zwei Gefühle… for orchestra and voice, both in New York. Most recently, Chad premiered the role of Jesus in Strader’s Good Friday: Oratorio and appeared as Fenton in Falstaff with Bay Shore Lyric Opera. He looks forward to appearing with the Sacramento Choral and Orchestra Society’s Well’s Fargo Home for the Holidays as the Narrator and Headliner as well as singing Kudrjaš in Janáček’s Kat’a Kabanova with West Edge Opera in their 2020 season. Winner of the Philadelphia Classical Singer Competition, finalist for Friends of Eastman Opera Competition. Doctor of Musical Arts from the Eastman School of Music. Amber Naramore, Soprano— Dec 2019

Amber Naramore was born in Maui and raised in Massachusetts. She received her B.M. degree from the University of Oregon, where she received the honor of "outstanding undergraduate in voice." She received further training from New England Conservatory, and graduated with a Master's degree in voice and literature from Eastman School of Music. Ms. Naramore has been a member of the Hawai'i Opera Orvis Studio program on O'ahu, and  she studied with the Neil Semer vocal institute in Germany. Professional highlights have included performing as a soloist in Mozart's Requiem with the Dubai Philharmonic, performing in a chamber choir with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and singing in Russian in the opera "Eugene Onegin" with Hawai'i Opera Theater.
