Nadine Quinsaat first became interested in playing the violin after she saw a violinist perform on her favorite TV show. Although she had her first violin in 2005 at the age of 12, Nadine did not have violin lessons until June 2006 with Leah Tinkleman. Under the tutelage of Ms. Tinkleman, Nadine’s love for the violin and classical music grew.
Nadine’s first experience with an orchestra was in September 2006 with the newly formed Maui Youth Philharmonic Orchestra Jr., four months after her first violin lesson. After serving as concertmaster of the MYPO Jr. for one orchestra season, she joined the Maui Youth Philharmonic Orchestra as a second violinist. After a brief hiatus, she rejoined MYPO as a first violinist and was chosen, along with several other MYPO members, to play with the Hawaii Youth Symphony I during one of their Maui concerts in February 2011.
After graduating from the Maui Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, Nadine later joined the Maui Pops Orchestra in January 2012. In January 2014, Nadine joined the Maui Chamber Orchestra.
